Goldfish scooping

Goldfish scooping is one of the most typical booths at Japanese summer festivals. There is usually a flat water tank with plenty of goldfish swimming inside of it.
You’ll hold a cup in your left hand and scoop the fish with your right hand with a tool called a “poi”, covered in Japanese paper. The paper will break easily from the water, so you need to do it quickly. Please try several times, so that you’ll get to know how to do it. You can take fish home that you caught. The way they swim inside the goldfish basin is so beautiful that, you’ll forget about the time. Please take care of them with love if you bring them home.

Super ball scooping is popular among boys

You can scoop super balls too. The balls float on the water like goldfish. Super balls are a very ‘bouncy’ type of ball. There are a variety of colors that’ll lighten up your heart. The best way to play with them is with your cat. They will absolutely love it when it bounces really high.
Please try it!

Masks that can transform you into a hero from anime!

Masks of Japanese anime characters are sold inside some booths. Let’s count how many characters you know! These masks are also a popular item during summer time Japanese festivals. When I was a kid, I bought one of the masks and disguised myself. If you are collecting anime character memorabilia, why not add this to your collection?

A Gun shooting game, Yoyo scooping, and quoit type games are also offered. Why not enjoy these games with street food that I had previously introduced?
