Drive around Japan at your own pace!

Travelling by train and bus is always fun, but transportation can be very important for tourists who only have a limited amount of time. Not often, but sometimes you’ll be in an area with limited public transportation.
If you want to get around easier at your own pace, why not rent a car?

Using a rental car is easy to go wherever you want.

There’s no question that one benefit of renting a car is that you can travel at your own pace. .
Without worrying about missing trains or busses, you can change your plans in an instant; “Let’s drop by Mount Nokogiri on the way back to the hotel from the beach in the South Boso district.” (http://www.jnto.go.jp/eng/location/spot/natuscen/mt-nokogiri.html); “Shall we take this route with a better view of Mount Ontake?” (http://www.jnto.go.jp/eng/location/spot/natuscen/mt-ontake.html)
You can relax and enjoy regional foods particular to areas at their highway rest stops, where are becoming just theme park, such as with hot springs, amusement parks, or even a small village that reproduce cityscapes from old word Edo.

Kariya Highway Oasis

Kariya Highway Oasis on the Isewangan Expressway (Aichi Prefecture)
It’s a very popular service for families, with a natural hot spring and amusement park.

Ebina Service Area (bound for Aichi) on The Tomei Expressway (Kanagawa Prefecture):
It’s the rest area with the most amount of visitors (60,000 daily) and the highest amount of sales. A lot of people come for Ebina melon bread of the bakery “Portugal” and soft-serve ice cream called, “Cremia”.

◆ My recommendation for scenic roads

Souya kyuryo Hill

Route 889 Souya kyuryo Hill (Hokkaido)
It’s an exhilarating feeling driving on an endless road with green fields as far as the eye can see!

Tsunoshima Bridge

Tsunoshima Bridge (Yamaguchi Prefecture)
The Tsunoshima Bridge links the isolated island, Tsunoshima with the mainland, and stretches over the breathtaking emerald-green sea. It’s an unforgettable experience!

Mt. Fuji Skyline

The Mt. Fuji Skyline (Shizuoka Prefecture)
It’s the highest road that you can drive on in Japan. Please note that there are periods of time when they regulate vehicular travel during the summer and winter months.
Driving this road with beautiful Mount Fuji in your front windshield is exhilarating!

We would like you to fully enjoy Japan by a rental car, but tourists from abroad might get a little anxious about driving in a foreign land.
Tourists from countries using a different unit of speed and distance from Japan, especially need to be careful. Japan uses the kilometer (km).
Please be careful not to accidently drive over the speed limit!
Please refer to the link below for traffic rules in Japan.

Tabirai Japan Car Rentalhttp://en.tabirai.net/car/

This is a very useful site where you can compare many leading car rental companies in Japan in a batch. Isn’t it better than you search for many car rental companies? You can make inquiries and reservations in English. All cars are equipped with navigation that supports English and Chinese.

Why not search for a car on this site if this is your first time driving in japan?

The details of the reservation method is available in this article.
“Travel around in Japan by comparing prices and reserving a car with, Tabirai Japan Car Rental.”
