“Furusato Matsuri Tokyo” is held every January at Tokyo Dome in Bunkyo Ward, Tokyo.
From January 7th to 15th, Japanese traditional festivals (matsuri) and popular local foods are gathered for this collaboration event in Tokyo!
Let’s go to “Furusato Matsuri Tokyo 2017” where you can enjoy each local culture, tradition and food from various regions in Japan!

There are many festivals with long tradition and history in Japan.
In this “Furusato Matsuri Tokyo”, 15 Japanese festivals are going to be demonstrated both inside and outside the venue. It will be filled with feverish excitement!
Additionally, “Japanese Drum-Lab” will give you opportunity to play the Japanese traditional drums. Visitors can also join “Let’s All Dance” and dance with local performers. It would be more fun for you to participate in those programs!

From Hokkaido to Okinawa! Eat up the whole local specialties!

Every year, a lot of visitors look forward to “Hometown’s local food” stalls in Furusato Matsuri. You can enjoy wide variety of local foods such as fast food, sweets and sake. For example, a rice bowl with spilling salmon roe, a jumbo potato and butter from Hokkaido Prefecture, rosy seabass sushi from Shimane Prefecture, a Hida beef skewer from Gifu Prefecture are going to be available there.
If you like spicy food, you’re gonna love this year’s special program “Local Super-Hot Dishes Colosseum”!
“Choinose Ichiba” is also recommended. You firstly buy a bowl of rice, and then chose side dishes go well with hot rice. The dishes are from all over Japan. “Local Sweets Marche” and “Local Donburi Championship” will also be held.
Even if you have lots of stomachs, it would never enough. Food paradise is waiting for you here!
