A walk around the park!
Unfortunately the cherry blossoms weren’t at full bloom yet but it was still very lively with lots of people getting ready under the trees to have a picnic!
Because it’s such a big park, there’s a good chance you’ll meet a big dog out with their owner, like this adorable husky!
After walking for a while, we stumbled upon “Inokashira Benzaiten.” The red shrine really stood out by the green pond. This shrine is famous for brining good wealth and fortune for your business. Why don’t you come and wash your money? If you do so, your wealth might increase!
Donuts to go!
The park was quite crowded…but we were lucky and found a bench to relax! It was the perfect temperature, not too hot, not too cold. The donuts were delicious! I got coconut chocolate and Yumoka had hazelnut chocolate.
Even though there are some food vendors and snack bars in the park, I recommend getting something to-go from the coffee shops outside the park. You’ll get more of your money’s worth plus it’ll be more delicious!
This is the donut shop we went to today:
- Address：2-13-1 Kichijoji Honcho, Musashino city, Tokyo
- Opening hours：10:00am～9:00pm
- Website：Donuts&Café Arnold(Japanese text only)
Let’s experience the four seasons!
We came to the park near the end of March hoping to see some cherry blossoms, but unfortunately it was too early! We weren’t the only ones waiting to see cherry blossoms. A lot of people came with family, friends, co-workers etc. and set up a picnic under the trees. I’m definitely going to come back in April for the full bloom of cherry blossoms! Being in central Tokyo makes me forget about the great parks around the outer parts of the city. It really helps you relax and release stress! If you’re feeling blue, come to Inokashira Park for a walk.
For the next article, we will introduce some delicious restaurants and food we tried while walking around the shopping district of Kichijoji!
Let’s continue our adventure~
