Kimokawaii Exhibition  (June 7- July 8)

The event’s official poster

Place: Tokyo Solamachi

‘Kimokawaii’ is a typical Japanese concept; this portmanteau word associates the words ‘kimoi’ (disgusting) and the famous ‘kawaii’ (cute, adorable). It is often used to qualify these animals or things you don’t really know if they are cute or horrible. It can also qualify things that are so horrible that, in a way, they become cute. In this exhibition you can come and meet animals that are usually not under the spotlight, like for example the naked mole-rat (featured on the poster), the poison dart frog or the Turkey vulture.
