The festival is held from Sunday, December 20th 2015 to Wednesday, February 10th 2016.

There is a wide variety of nature in Shimoda city, Shizuoka. Ryuugukutsu Cave, Sand Ski Tsumekisaki in Shimoda city is also a area with a spectacular display of nature, with 3 million daffodils at the Tsumekisaki Daffodils Festival. The colorful flowers will bloom with a sweet smell and feels much like a dream.

On December 20th, January 10th, January 17th, and January 24th, you can enjoy events on the Yosakoi stage and a Taiko drumming performance that starts at 10:00 A.M. It is only open to the first 200 visitors! You can even get a free bowl of Ikenodan miso stew. As I said before, there are many things to see in Shimoda, so please go and check Shimoda’s official website, so that you can get a voucher (Japanese only) for the museum and other sightseeing areas. If you don’t understand Japanese, just print it out and bring it with you. Please ask about the areas where you can get a discount.
